LIL WAYNE UNLEASHES PITBULL FOR "THA CARTER IV"

Sohh.com Reports: Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne may offer fans a taste of Miami with his upcoming Tha Carter IVsolo album by possibly using hometown rapper Pitbull on one of the featured tracks.

According to contributing producer Jim Jonsin, Pitbull currentlyappears on one of Weezy's speculated new songs.
Jonsin reveals that he produced what will likely be the next single from Tha Carter IV, due June 21. "It's got similarities to 'Lollipop,'" says the hitmaker. "It's just a little slower and it has similar sounds in it, so people may relate it to the step-brother of 'Lollipop.' It's also [got] completely different melodies and chords." He shared two potential titles for the song, which are "Blows My Brains" and "She's Always in My Head." Pitbull also contributed to the record, but it's uncertain if he'll appear on the final version. "Pitbull help me write the song," adds Jonsin. "He has a verse and he did like a B-section on there, but I'm not sure if Wayne and Pit have agreed to keep him on there or what." (Rap-Up)
Last week, Young Money president Mack Maine talked about Wayne's new album being delayed.
"He's still perfecting a few things, he's a perfectionist ... changing a few lines," Maine said in an interview. "We also have a huge record that wasn't done yet. We're in L.A. right now. We have a little studio time and it should be done probably by Monday...If you calculate all of [the guest appearances], by the time we would've finished mixing, we wouldn't have met the [original] due date to turn in the album. So we had to push it back." (MTV)

50 Cent Talks Slavery, Confederate Flag

Allhiphop.com Reports: Rapper 50 Cent and MTV recently revealed a clip from his upcoming Rock Doc titled "50 Cent: The Origin of Me," which features 50 Cent traveling to Edgefield, South Carolina, in search of his roots.

In one clip, the rapper encounters an elderly woman, who explains the significance of the Confederate Flag to 50 Cent, who appears visibly irritated with the conversation.

"People really don't understand what's going on at that period of time," the elderly woman told 50 Cent. "Black citizens in this country really needs to study the history, because it's just as much the black ancestry as it is the White ancestry."

Despite 50's explanation for the Confederate flag being seen as racist and why it offends many people, the woman acted as though there were no valid reasons for taking offense to it, saying that it has to do with black ancestry as well as white ancestry.

"She's offering her truth- what‚ she's accepted as the truth based on information given to her, but I don't agree with it," 50 Cent said.

The woman continued to tell 50 Cent that African and Mongolian slaves were captured and put on ships.

50 Cent politely interrupted her because he wanted to clarify what he heard: "Mongolian slaves?"

50 Cent, still remaining cordial and polite, asks her if the "Mongolian slaves" had any physical features that made them distinct from African slaves and she said there weren't.

"Mongolian slaves?…I never heard of that before," 50 Cent said.

“50 Cent: The Origin of Me,” premieres Monday, May 23rd at 9PM ET/PT on VH1.
